Coronaria offers healthcare, oral healthcare, occupational healthcare service complex, rehabilitation, ophthalmological and optical services.

Coronaria is Finland`s 5th largest private healthcare services company. Coronaria is building healthcare that benefits everybody: clients receive better treatment, the employees feel better and society saves money.

Coronaria is a 100% Finnish company founded by doctors. In 2001, Coronaria became part of the Cor Group conglomerate, and it is the largest subsidiary of Cor Group.

Silmäasema

SILMÄASEMA IS FINLAND`S LEADING CHAIN FOR VISION AND EYE HEALTH.

Silmäasema serves customers comprehensively in various eye health and vision care needs. The chain`s optical stores, Silmäasema Eye Hospitals, Medilaser Eye Surgery, and Coronaria Eye Clinics together form a unique service offering that provides each customer with the best solution for good vision with top expertise.

Silmäasema has 140 stores and 16 eye hospitals across Finland, and additionally, six stores in Estonia. In total, about a thousand eye specialists serve customers. Each year, Silmäasema conducts around 210,000 optician eye examinations, 190,000 ophthalmologist appointments, and over 25,000 eye surgeries.

Established in 1975, Silmäasema became a part of the Coronaria Group in late 2019.

KOTIKATU 365 OY IS A WELL-BEING HOUSING OPERATOR THAT HAS REVAMPED APARTMENT LIVING WITH THE KOTIKATU 365 CONCEPT, COMBINING HIGH-QUALITY APARTMENTS, VERSATILE COMMUNAL SPACES, PERSONALIZED SERVICES, AND A DIGITAL SERVICE PORTAL.

Kotikatu365 creates the conditions for community-based living that supports the well-being of people of all ages. We have approached housing in a different way than the familiar, and we are convinced that a sustainable and economically viable solution to the challenges of 2020s housing construction can be found in a community-based residential and service complex.

We also believe that today’s and future urban residents appreciate housing solutions that make daily life easier and provide opportunities for an active lifestyle and natural social interaction with neighbors. Research data from our implemented Kotikatu365 complex shows that housing solutions can genuinely impact residents’ well-being and sense of security.

MECTALENT

MECTALENT IS A SPECIALIST IN HIGH-PRECISION EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING AND PRECISION MECHANICS.

The company was born out of a desire and capability to make surgical instruments better. The same ambition and unwavering dedication have continued to propel the company`s success.

Mectalent`s ability to provide unique solutions for highly demanding challenges has earned the company international acclaim. Their areas of expertise include process development, equipment manufacturing, precision and safety mechanics, as well as medical and surgical devices.

Some of Mectalent`s innovations include a skull implant that enables correction of children`s skull deformities. The company has also manufactured the world`s first OZO camera for Nokia

Mectalent was founded in 1996.

LIIKKU IS DESIGNED FOR SEAMLESS WORKOUTS.

Liikku  offers excellent quality at a reasonable price nationwide. Liikku provides its members with a smooth workout experience, thanks to spacious facilities, fresh air, and extended opening hours. Liikku is open to its members every day of the year from 5 am to 11 pm. Explore Liikku for free on Mondays to Wednesdays from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Liikku became a part of the Cor Group conglomerate in 2016.

Nightingale health has developed a blood analysis method that can accuratelu and cost-effectively predict disease risks.

Nightingale Health is revolutionizing the prevention of chronic diseases on an international level. Thanks to the company`s innovations, the development of conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases can be predicted in the future with exceptional precision and cost-effectiveness.

In 2017, EuropaBio`s panel selected Nightingale as a finalist in the “Most Innovative European Biotech SME Awards” competition.

Cor Group became an investor in Nightingale Health in 2016.

Our story

Cor Group’s story began in 1988 when four young medical students from Oulu decided to start publishing different kinds of guides to facilitate the work of doctors. Soon, they were selling advertising space in their popular guides to finance their studies.

The guides proved invaluable to doctors, and their popularity kept growing. The operations quickly expanded to other areas of business.

Right from the beginning, Cor Group companies have dared to challenge the established operating models and come up with ideas on how to do things better and smarter. This has proved to be an excellent model, which has often provided a clear competitive edge.

A similar critical mindset and open-mindedness have also encouraged the company’s owners to grow their business where others have hesitated. They have dared to take risks and tried to learn from their mistakes and enjoy their successes.

Selected milestones

Media business begins (Terve Media). The first company is established, laying the foundation for the Cor Group.

Touhula daycare chain is established.

Kotikatu 365 is established.

2013

Cor Group joins up with Liikku and begins building a nationwide chain.

2016

Coronaria Eye Hospital is the biggest HUS partner and expands to Oulu.

Coronaria joins the operations of Medilaser, Finland’s largest company focused on eye surgery.

2017

Coronaria Rehabilitation Services is the largest rehabilitation and therapy company in Finland.

Coronaria Sleep Clinics were established in Helsinki, Tampere, Kuopio ja Oulu.

Silmäasema becomes a part of Coronaria. Together with Silmäasema and Medilaser Coronaria is the biggest eye health care services provider in Finland.

Labquality becomes a part of the Cor Group.

Nightingale Health is going public.

KK-Verve’s vocational rehabilitation, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy services becomes part of Coronaria.

BIG Business Insight Group becomes part of the Cor Group.

ARTIMED Medical Consulting GmbH becomes part of Labquality.

2022

Clinical Consulting becomes part of Labquality.

Cor Group sold the business of Terve Media to Terve Media’s existing management.

Cor Group sells the majority of Labquality’s share capital to the French Mérieux Equity Partners (MxEP).
